A Pathway Reimagined

Element Landscapes recently undertook a captivating project at The Ridges Finchampstead, where we transformed a simple front walkway into a stylish and practical space. This blog post takes you through the journey of this transformation, emphasizing our expertise in landscaping and design.

Understanding the Client’s Needs: Functionality Meets Style

Our client desired a walkway that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Their goal was to match the path with an existing seating area, using high-quality, upscale tiles that reflected their personal taste. The project was about enhancing the pathway to their home, making it welcoming yet stylish.

Choosing the Right Materials: Durability and Elegance

For this project, we selected Station Pearl Porcelain tiles (1200mm x 600mm), known for their durability and ease of maintenance. These tiles are not only easy to clean but also resistant to stains, making them an ideal choice for outdoor spaces. We used Fuga – Pave Flex Jasmine grouting, ensuring the tiles were laid on a full bed of mortar with a bonding slurry for longevity.

Attention to Detail: Precision in Execution

The hallmark of this project was the attention to detail. We used a wet tile cutter for precise cutting of the tiles, ensuring each piece fit perfectly. We created steps in the pathway, complete with uprisers, and carefully cut circle holes in each tile for floor-level lighting, which added a subtle yet effective lighting feature.
