Project Overview

Porcelain Paving & Cedar Cladding Project in Finchampstead

Element Landscapes recently completed this porcelain walkway project at the Ridges in Finchampstead, transforming a simple front access route into a more polished and practical entrance space. The aim was to create a walkway that felt more in keeping with the property while improving both appearance and usability.

As a project page, this should work as proof of quality rather than just a gallery entry. It shows the level of care, material choice and installation detail that goes into our patio and walkway work, while also reinforcing local relevance and trust for prospective clients.

The Brief

From Basic Access to A Considered Design

The client wanted a walkway that felt both functional and visually appealing. The goal was to replace a more basic front access route with a more considered finish, using durable materials and a layout that would better suit the property.

This was not simply about replacing paving. It was about improving the entrance experience, creating a stronger first impression and delivering a result that felt clean, smart and well resolved.

Polished Result

What Was Delivered

The completed project combined material quality with careful execution to create a much more refined front entrance.

Porcelain walkway installation

The main feature of the project was the porcelain walkway itself, chosen for its clean appearance, durability and suitability for an outdoor entrance space. The finished surface gives the property a more polished and higher-quality feel from the moment you arrive.

Precision cutting and fitting

A key part of the work was the careful cutting of the tiles so each piece sat cleanly and accurately in place. Precision at this stage has a major effect on the overall finish and helps the walkway feel intentional rather than simply laid.

Step integration and lighting detail

The project also included steps and circular cut-outs for floor-level lighting, adding a subtle but effective finishing detail. These elements help improve both the practicality and the visual interest of the entrance route. Together, they create a more welcoming.

A smarter front entrance finish

Taken together, the paving, detailing and layout created a front walkway that feels far more welcoming, durable and appropriate for the property.

Installation Detail

Materials and Installation Detail

For this project, porcelain was selected because it offers a strong balance of durability, clean visual finish and long-term outdoor performance. Used well, it can elevate even a relatively compact entrance space and give it a far more refined overall appearance.

Installation quality matters just as much as the material itself. Proper fitting, clean alignment, careful cuts and strong finishing details are what turn a basic paving job into a result that feels premium and built to last.
